The highest ranked brass band from Leeds, with no benefactors or major sponsors, Rothwell Temperance Band’s success in recent times is down to the dedication and passion of its Musical Director, David Roberts. Under his guidance, the band has ascended through the ranks to compete in the championship section, earning numerous prestigious accolades along the way. Rothwell Temperance Band has remained a Championship Section band for over 25 years, has had a consistent presence among the top 20 brass bands in the world, and is the current French Open champion.
