What’s On at Lotherton

Enjoy a fantastic day out at Lotherton, a beautiful Edwardian country hall and estate set on the outskirts of Leeds.

Lotherton houses an expansive collection of artefacts, furniture and artworks in a traditional Edwardian country hall. See what life was like in Edwardian times, visit the historic stables and marvel at the carriage displays.

In the house, children can explore the special curiosity cabinets throughout the hall, play on the Gascoignes Abroad interactive and step back in time in our Edwardian dressing up room.

Lotherton provides plenty of entertainment outdoors too, including our traditional playground and woodland play area, complete with zip-wires. The beautiful gardens surrounding the hall are perfect for a pleasant stroll, visitors can take part in self-led trails or follow the path to find the Deer Hide to watch the estate’s red deer grazing.

Lotherton’s Wildlife World tells the story of our natural heritage, while drawing on the travels of previous owners of the estate, the Gascoignes. Come and get to know our animals, how they live and what we can do to protect their future.

Lotherton has a jam-packed events and activities calendar throughout the year, perfect for a family day out.
