The Leeds Gilbert and Sullivan Society — proud winners of multiple awards — returns to its roots, bringing you a bold new production of one of G&S's best-loved works.

Find our band of pirates running tired pirate themed crazy golf course on the Cornish coast, clinging on to the charm of the classic British seaside as the world moves on around them.

Enter the Major-General and his ever-multiplying "daughters," the shiny new face of the town — all glass-fronted apartments and holiday lets — determined to sweep the old guard aside in the name of progress.

Two visions of the seaside, colliding in glorious operatic fashion. Expect all the wit, romance and absurdity you know and love, wrapped in a concept that asks: what do we lose when the tide of modernity comes in?

Directed by the multi award-winning Anita Adams, with musical direction from Sean Gleeson, and brought to life by our talented live band, this is Gilbert and Sullivan like you've never quite seen it; mischievous, moving, and unmistakably British.
