Elisabeth Brauss - piano

Elisabeth Brauss has been praised by Gramophone for ‘the maturity and sophistication of her thoughtful interpretations’. The influence of folk tunes makes an appearance in both Béla Bartok’s Bagatelles and Thomas Adès’ Blanca Variations before the season ends with a visit to the carnival in Vienna, courtesy of Robert Schumann.

Welcome to a brand-new season of the Leeds International Piano Series, presented by Leeds International Concert Season in partnership with the Leeds International Piano Competition.

As we look forward to the 22nd Leeds International Piano Competition taking place in September 2027, we invite you to enjoy a celebration of piano music through this inspiring season of concerts.

Leeds has long been a city where pianists are discovered and celebrated, and the 2026/27 season continues that legacy with performances by artists who define the city’s musical heritage, from competition alumni such as Eric Lu to internationally renowned figures including Pascal Rogé and Clare Hammond.
