The Christmas you remember. The one they never forget.
Explore Lotherton Hall this festive season. Follow the much-loved returning 12 Days Walk through Captain's Wood. Slow down at the Fairy Dell, where tiny doors and whispered voices hide between the stones. Step inside the Hall dressed in its Edwardian Christmas finery. Walk the lit gardens as the dusk settles. And then, the moment you came for. Follow the path where wonder lives, to Santa’s North Pole.

Where the magic begins and wonder lives

Once a year, something happens at Lotherton. The estate softens. The trees light up.

Lotherton becomes somewhere else entirely. For six glittering weeks, the whole estate is given over to wonder. The Hall opens its doors. The gardens come alight. The woods fill with song. And quietly, almost in secret, the place starts to hum with the kind of magic only Christmas can bring.

Whether you're coming for the evening or the morning, with toddlers or with teenagers, this is what's waiting for you and we've saved you a place in the story.

Explore what's on offer

The 12 Days Walk through Captain's Wood

Step into the woods and the song begins. As you wind your way along the path, the much-loved Twelve Days of Christmas unfold around you, one by one, brought to life among the trees. (include in estate entry)

Head on a journey to meet Santa

Tucked inside the snowfilled North Pole, we have two way to meet Santa....

Santa's North Pole

A journey through the snow filled paths that leads deep into the North Pole. Join the elves, decorate gingerbread with Mrs Claus and finally meet Santa in his cosy home for a special visit and a little gift to take home. Approx 30 to 40 minutes.

Santa's Cabin

For the very smallest visitors, there's something gentler. Santa's Cabin opens on weekday mornings, for preschoolers and those first time visits. Step straight into Santa's quiet cabin for a sweet visit with Santa, who has all the time in the world for a whispered Christmas list and an extra special gift.

The Elf Village

A clearing strung with fairy lights, the crackle of the firepit, the smell of marshmallows toasting, and a yurt where the grown-ups can warm their hands round a hot drink while the little ones get busy. Cabins to step inside with crafts to make and take home. A place to gather under when the weather turns properly wintry. Stay as long as you like.

The Fairy Dell

Head into the rockery, slow down and listen. You might hear them before you see them. The ever popular Fairy dell where tiny houses, little doors and little windows are tucked between the stones and roots. Little ones will love eploring this magical tiny world.

Lotherton Hall in its Edwardian finery

Push open the door and step into Christmas as it used to be. Lotherton Hall stands dressed in its Edwardian finery, the way the Gascoigne family would have known it more than a century ago. Elaborate trees, exquisit tables, garlands looped along every banister, toyus from the past, and the gentle hush of a house that knows how to celebrate properly.

The lit gardens

Beyond the Hall, the formal gardens have been quietly transformed. Pathways trace lines of colour through the dusk. Hedges glow. Familiar corners glitter into something altogether more enchanting.

There's no rush at Lotherton. The estate is yours to wander. Stay for the whole day or come back twice. Choose your moment with Santa. Discover the things that only your family will remember for a lifetime.

Bring the little ones. Bring the ones who used to be little. We've saved you a place in the story.
