Description

Coming this year comes a brand new musical – the only musical about a pandemic which had it’s world premiere postponed… by a pandemic.

From the award-winning LIDOS, and Leeds-based writing duo Sidgwick and Sanders, (who wrote Supertown, which also had it’s premiere at the Carriageworks), comes the brand new family friendly comedy musical Plague, a medieval story of hope, community… and root vegetables.

When rumours of a Plague hits the villagers of ‘Bogsfield’ in 1348, the community faces an enormous challenge unlike any they’ve faced before.  Do they join together to tackle the looming threat, or fall into rivalry and selfishness?

Join a cast of whimsical medieval characters (which you won’t find in any history textbooks!), and journey back to a very different period… with some very familiar problems.  With upbeat songs, an immersive storyline, and a resounding message of hope in the face of adversity, this is a perfect show for anyone looking for something to lift their spirits this September!
