In 2011 peace gave way to violence, again. This time it was Syria, but it has been thousands of other places previously. It has happened before and it will, history suggests, happen again.
In 2018, Invisible Man Theatre sat with dozens of Syrian refugees now living in the UK, to ask what it was like to be one of the families trapped on the ground, facing mortal threat. From hours of honest, harrowing but resilient testimony from refugees, of all social and economic status’, came the play, How to be Lucky.
The production is a one-man show performed in English. The production features genuine images of the Syrian war, viewer discretion advised.
