Described as “one of the most fully-rounded pianists of today”, Israeli pianist Boris Giltburg enjoys a career that has taken him to all the great musical centres of the world. In this programme he contrasts the deep poetry and romanticism of Chopin’s Ballades with Prokofiev’s colourful suite from his ballet Romeo and Juliet and the brilliantly impressionistic Gaspard de la Nuit by Ravel.
